The Call Box, modern for it's time was phased out in the 70's.
In the woods watching protesters of the 1930's, one of my favorite photos. This was a portable comm. box. Notice one man working while one smokes and the other reads the paper - can you say Junior Man !
Looks like it's from "Lost in Space".
